The Launch Strategy That Signed 28 DFY Clients In 13 Days with Taylor Lane

APPLE PODCASTS  | SPOTIFY  | YOUTUBE

I have told founder friends for years that service-based launches are tricky. When you are selling something people need on their own timeline, it makes urgency way harder to manufacture. If you have put off launching your own service because it does not fit the typical course-launch playbook, this episode and post are for you.

NOTE: Taylor's done-for-you Threads service is not affiliated with Nomad Copy Agency. I brought her on because her launch numbers and her honesty around selling are swoon-worthy. This is truly a masterclass in launching a DFY service!

Taylor’s Launch Plan & Goals

My guest, Taylor Lane, is a Threads specialist and business coach who runs a done-for-you Threads agency. She built the service in 2025, ran one promotional push that landed five new clients, then spent a full year running the service without launching it.

When she decided to launch it properly, she set a minimum goal of five clients, a "would feel worth it" goal of ten, an exciting goal of fifteen to twenty, and a hard cap of thirty based on what her team could operationally handle.

She ended the thirteen-day open-cart window at twenty-eight signed clients on four-month minimums.

The Prelaunch & Launch Event

Taylor's launch event was a live masterclass, and she built her registration page, confirmation emails, and opening slides around one idea: you are here to get sold to, and that is not a secret.

A few things she did well in the prelaunch:

1. She was honest everywhere

Her masterclass confirmation page linked to audio case studies from past clients. This helped registrants learn about client results before the masterclass. Her people knew exactly what they would be sold at the masterclass.

2. Consistency within her emails

Every email leading up to the event referenced her Threads service directly, whether or not the person had already registered. People who did register got show-up emails that transparently communicated the early-action bonus, which incentivized people to show up live.

3. She converted people live

Two hundred people signed up for the masterclass. Forty-nine showed up live, close to the 25 percent show-up rate that is typical for a free training. She started selling immediately on the masterclass, and converted several day-of because the first five people to sign up got a special bonus.

A Fast Action Bonus Filled Five Spots While She Was Still Teaching

Everyone who joined during the thirteen-day window got a daily lead-generator resource so that her team would also have something to send new Threads traffic to.

But anyone who bought live, during the masterclass itself, also got 30 days of Slack access to work through their own lead magnet with Taylor directly. All five of those live spots filled before the call ended. Watching people type "I grabbed a spot" in the chat gave Taylor immediate proof the launch was working, days before she had any other data to go on.

A Dead Weekend Did Not Predict The Ending

Day one brought five sales, right at Taylor's minimum goal. Then came a weekend with zero sales, partly because Taylor was not writing new sales content. By day five, the count sat at seven… low, considering how many people joined right away!

However, the midlaunch slump is common. Taylor picked back up after the weekend and kept selling on Threads, Instagram, and via Email.

By the second to last day of the launch, Taylor was at seventeen sales. She closed the remaining eleven clients in that final stretch, landing at twenty-eight total sales!

& that’s on pushing through the midlaunch slump!

Her Last-Chance Emails Named The Specific Objections

Instead of generic countdown emails, Taylor built her final subject lines around objections she was already hearing in her DMs. People were asking if they needed it, and for her to give context. They were asking about the bonus. They asked about start dates.

For every question she answered privately, she also answered it publicly so that people with the same objections or questions could make an educated buying decision.

And if you’re thinking, “Sam, I don’t wanna bombard people with emails at the end of a launch!” – those final emails had her highest click and sales numbers of the entire launch.

Key Takeaways

  • Announce the offer before the pitch happens. It builds trust instead of costing you signups.

  • A fast action bonus tied to a live moment can generate proof of concept before your launch is even half over.

  • A slow midlaunch period does not predict your ending. Keep writing & advertising through it.

  • Pull your last-chance email subject lines straight from your own DMs.
